Coach Sam has over 25 years experience coaching both Women’s and Men’s Optional and Compulsory Gymnastics. He has also coached at Lake Owen Gymnastics Camp in Cable, Wisconsin, for 10 consecutive summers from 1992 to 2002. There he had the opportunity to coach and train with the best coaches in the world that including the top 10 NCAA coaches in the United States.

This list of coaches consists of John Spini (Arizona State), Clarence Johnson (University of Illinois Chicago), Jesus (Illinois State), Don Osborn (University of Illinois, Champaign), and Gary Goodson (National Coach – Open Elite Development Program). He has also had the opportunity to work along with legendary coaches Martha Karolyi, Marylee Traci, and Peggy Liddick.  Coach Sam has  worked along with Olympic Team members, Kelly Garrison(1988), Svetlana Boginskaya (1988), Tatiana Gutsu(1992), Shannon Miller (1992), Kim Zmeskal (1992) Amanda Borden (1996), and Dominique Moceanu (1996).

Coach Sam has successfully coached and trained many gymnasts who has received partial and full scholarships to many different universities. Many of my gymnasts have received national titles.

Coach Sam has lived and coached in McHenry County for the last 19 years, combined with 2 years working as a Certified Teachers Assistant for the McHenry School District 15.
